HOT WATER MUSIC "No Division" LP (colored vinyl)

HOT WATER MUSIC “No Division” LP (colored vinyl)

This is a pre-order, this should ship on or around January 25th.

This is a small repress of one of the few Hot Water albums not on No Idea or Epitaph. And I might add that this could be my favorite Hot Water album, this one or “Fuel for the Hate Game”. In either case, if you don’t already own this, do yourself a big favor and pick it up before it is again out of print.

PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS "Mercy" LP (colored vinyl)

PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS “Mercy” LP (colored vinyl)

this is a pre-order, should ship on or around January 25th.

The story of PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS begins within the confines of a paltry Midwestern town in Illinois called Peoria. Peoria, only hours away from big city living in Chicago, was culture starved and nothing like the northern city by the lake. It was this very atmosphere that fueled the raw, somber and fervent songs that PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS would ultimately become so well known for. Formerly on the emo lighthouse Deep Elm and then landing on the fiercely independent No Idea, PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS have come a long way since those early day as they are now the cusp of releasing their Abacus debut Mercy. The band’s appeal crosses genre divides, often shows have as many metal heads and hardcore fans as emo fans requesting material from early in the band’s career. Produced by Matt Bayles (MASTODON, MINUS THE BEAR etc.), Mercy is another step forward in the progression of a band who challenges themselves along the path of life. Colored vinyl.

Only Crime "Virulence" LP

Only Crime “Virulence” LP

With just over two years passing since the release of their debut album To The Nines, ONLY CRIME unveils their latest creation, Virulence. The time has enabled the young band to grow as a unit, further honing the skill of interfusing melody amidst their signature dissonant sound. In case you don’t already know, ONLY CRIME is; Russ Rankin on vocals (Good Riddance), Bill Stevenson on drums (Descendents, All, Black Flag), Aaron Dalbec on guitar (Bane, Converge, Velocity Engine), Zach Blair on the other guitar (Hagfish, Gwar), and Donivan Blair (Hagfish, Armstrong) on bass. This mix of musicians doesn’t make perfect sense, but it all comes into focus when you hear the first track “Take Me”. This is a band built on deep friendships, a group of people whose common interests brought them together after years of developing themselves in other bands. 2007 will find ONLY CRIME taking their music to the masses, as they embark on tours throughout the US and beyond.

ISIS “In The Absence Of Truth” 2xLP

ISIS “In The Absence Of Truth” 2xLP

This is a preorder, copies will be shipped out from Vinyl Collective on or around January 11th.

The logical expansion of ISIS’ multiple personalities yield “In The Absence Of Truth”, their latest monster full-length. It only makes sense that the ‘atmospheric’ parts are even more haunting (yet, uplifting) and the ‘heavy’ parts are even more brutal and crushing. However, it’s hardly an album of polar opposites, with the fluidity only achieved by a band who’s been consistently developing like this for nearly a decade now. The increased amount of actual singing really makes a difference on the more mellow moments, but widespread experimentation with new elements reaches far beyond the vocals here. Appropriate usage of unique tones, leads and overall surprising song-structures culminate with nine tracks of ISIS’ most impressive work to date. “In The Absence Of Truth” really is an astounding album, with a maturity displayed that leaps from their past into amazing uncharted waters of heaviness. Robotic Empire is honored to supply this gatefold, double-LP vinyl edition of ISIS’ latest masterpiece. Limited to 3000 copies.

Although this record was pressed on a number of colors (Black, Gold, Violet, and White), the records are not labeled what colors the records are and in most cases, the record will be on black vinyl. We offer no guarantees on the color of the vinyl, but with luck, you may get one of the super rare colored copies.
