ISIS "THE RED SEA" 12" Repress Various Colors

ISIS “THE RED SEA” 12″ (black/gold vinyl)

ISIS “THE RED SEA” 12″ (green vinyl)

ISIS “THE RED SEA” 12″ (purple vinyl)

After the last pressing sold out in like a week, I wasn’t sure that there would be another repress. It looks like this time around, they have 3 new varieties of colors. We got a decent amount of copies of each color but understand that these are not certain to last long. Act fast!

Citizen Fish/Leftover Crack "Deadline" LP

Citizen Fish/Leftover Crack “Deadline” LP

Two-and-a-half years after the genre-defining Fuck World Trade on Alternative Tentacles, LEFTOVER CRACK returns to the fold, this time teaming up with UK ska-punk legends CITIZEN FISH on a split LP. Having released a split 7-inch in late 2006, the two bands decided to stick with the theme and record an entire full length album worth of material. Features five brand new tracks from Citizen Fish and six from Leftover Crack. In addition to the new tracks each band saw fit to cover the other band’s material so Citizen Fish covers both Leftover Crack and Choking Victim, while Leftover Crack does covers of both Citizen Fish and Subhumans! One of the most anticipated split releases of the new year!

Jonah Matranga/Frank Turner split 12" (Yellow/Brown Swirl vinyl)

Jonah Matranga/Frank Turner split 12″ (Yellow/Brown Swirl vinyl)

The split 12” marks the first release of new material from JonahMatranga since he shed the Onelinedrawing moniker and is Frank’s first release that is available outside of the UK. Touring from both is always ongoing as Jonah just completed a trip to Europe and will be spending the rest of the summer and fall traveling the U.S. and Australia and Frank is in the midst of a whirlwind European tour that will run through August.

LOW “DRUMS AND GUNS” LP

LOW “DRUMS AND GUNS” LP

Formed in 1993, Low is from Duluth, Minnesota, and features Alan Sparhawk on vocals and guitar, Mimi Parker on vocals and drums, and Matt Livingston on bass and vocals. Sparhawk and Parker are married with two children; they first met in fourth grade in rural Minnesota. Drums and Guns is the band’s eighth full-length album and second for Sub Pop. It’s also, after 2005’s The Great Destroyer, the second album they’ve recorded with producer Dave Fridmann. Drums and Guns features a number of songs that ardent Low fans will recognize from the band’s recent live shows. These songs appear here in substantially altered forms, as though they’ve been taken apart and reassembled in striking new ways, or seen with new eyes. Or, given the lyrical emphasis on murder and death, a more insightful interpretation might see the band killing these songs and bringing them back to life anew. There’s no contrivance here, however. While these songs feature new elements (looped vocals, drum machines, etc.) and are thoroughly, radiantly contemporary, they remain undeniably Low’s. Drums and Guns possesses the unique, subtle beauty and power we’ve come to expect from Low, but the record is also profoundly exciting in ways that it’s easy to forget music can be.

EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY “All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone” 2XLP

I only got a couple of these in stock. My distributor ran out, but snagged a few for me. I am sure this will be gone in like 10 seconds, but I will be trying to get more.

TED LEO & THE PHARMACISTS “Living With The Living” 2XLP $10.75For their fifth full-length release (and first with Touch and Go Records), Ted Leo & The Pharmacists met up with Brendan Canty (Fugazi) to iron out a new set of anthems that arrive with a confident and outspoken immediacy. Pre-order: Portugal the Man "Waiter: You Vultures" LP (clear w/ gold splatter)

Portugal the Man “Waiter: You Vultures” LP (clear w/ gold splatter)

We at Vinyl Collective are committed to bringing you the very best releases in the vinyl format. The latest album that we are working on is the debut album from Portugal the Man “Waiter: You Vultures”. The album came out on Fearless Records and when I heard it, I fell in love. The band’s singer was the front man of Anatomy of a Ghost who seemed to have broke up right when they were taking off. Portugal the Man, if forced to compare them to other bands, I would say take a less frantic/crazy Mars Volta and mix that with something you might expect to hear on Kill Rock Stars or Subpop. This vinyl release will be limited to only 500 copies and all of the copies will be on clear vinyl with gold splatters. You might notice that this release has all new artwork which looks absolutely amazing. Dont’ snooze on this one as I expect this one to move rather quickly.

The pressing is limited to 500 copies (on Clear Vinyl w/ gold splatters). The record will be pressed on 140-160 gram vinyl and the record jackets will have Spot Gloss Varnish. Much of the artwork was done by John, singer of Portugal..

This is a pre-order, records will ship towards the middle of April.
