Suggestions? Should we have a message board?

It was recently suggested that we should have a message board for Vinyl Collective. I like this idea, but I wanted to see your thoughts. Do you have suggestions for categories? I might need help with a few folks being moderators, too. I know that I don’t have lots of free time to moderate. Are there any cool, free message boards that you guys recommend? Let me know.
In a related topic, a big Vinyl Collective supporter recently started Burnt Wolf, a Vinyl wiki. This was an idea that I had thought would be a great resource for vinyl collectors and before I could even think about how to proceed, Burnt Wolf had already started. They explain their site as, “The Burnt Wolf wiki project aims to build a comprehensive database of limited pressing information (mainly focusing on, but not limited to, vinyl) and provide a directory of record stores that still carry vinyl and other collectibles.” Check it out.

I personally think starting up a message board would be a great idea because I’m sure there’d finally end up being a really good trade/for sale thread that i’d be attending quite often. On top of that, there’d be some good chat and other news/info to go around through the boards.

a board would be sweet for trading and such. i know on ap.net, one of my favorite parts is the vinyl thread

theres a pretty good resource for vinyl collectors on nofxwiki.net’s message board in the discography category.
it also includes probably the most complete Against Me! discog you will find anywhere on the net, as 3 of the biggest AM! collectors on earth post their. (myself included)

a message board would be sweet definately.
and i was also thinking about something like Burnt Wolf, and i started to just write a bunch of it down. hopefully Burnt Wolf will grow though, seems like more mainstream type of artists than anything.

Obviously I think it’s a good idea. Here are some catagories:
Buy, sell, trade
Upcoming releases
pressing info (exchange info on colors, pressings, etc.)
Complaints department (bitch about bad sound quality, ugly colors, packaging, shipping, etc.)
That’s just a few. I’m sure there are plenty of other good ones.

yeah those are all good categories…and maybe another category for people to post/show off their collections/albums

I think just one board category is the best way to go. One board that gets regular activity is more fun to read than 5 slow boards.
