Black Friday is upon us and I am here to tell you that there are alternatives to battling the crowds at the department stores. If you seriously plan to wake up at 4am to begin shopping, I guess you deserve what ever bargains come your way. If you want to know what I will be doing, I will be snoring logs and have no plans to do anything else. When I get up, I plan to heat up some leftover thanksgiving food and just relax.

Please note that for U.S. orders, you must place your Media Mail orders by December 12th and your Priority Mail orders by December 18th. Orders placed afterwards could get to you in time by Xmas, but I would not roll the dice.

Hey friends, I watched a commercial for Kohls the other day and their big Black Friday sales start at 4 am. If you ask me, the only thing you should be doing at 4 am is sleeping. Same goes for all the other stores that offer their goods at 5am, 6am, or whatever crazy sale they have. To be honest, you could not give me good enough deals to fight the crowds that show up to these things.

I offer you an alternative. Forget the traffic, the crowds, and the insanity and do your holiday shopping at Vinyl Collective. For 1 week (and 1 week only), we are offering you most of the Suburban Home / Vinyl Collective catalog for the same price (or in some cases lower) that we sell to our distributors. Take advantage of wholesale pricing to get that record you have been on the fence about, that additional color you can’t justify purchasing, or to pick up a few things you might not already have. Note that the Tim Barry repress will be here on Tuesday or Wednesday. A couple of the $5.00 LPs will become our next additions to the $5.00 LP deal, but a majority of the following will go back to normal price come December 1st. We finally have T-shirts on order for Vinyl Collective. There are 2 shirt designs, but 4 options considering the printing colors and colors of shirts. The Logo shirt also has a back logo that reads, “YES, THEY STILL MAKE VINYL”. Each of the shirts are limited to an edition of 144 shirts split evenly between the different colors.

We will be getting shirts by December 7th so most of you will get them in time for Christmas.

Alright, this might seem weird that we have posted the pre-orders as Color 1, Color 2, and Black vinyl. The reason I made the decision to do this was because the label still hasn’t made the decision on what colors to press this on, but they are sure they will be pressing it on 2 colors and on black vinyl. I realize that this makes for a really hard decision when shopping, but I have noticed other retailers are already taking pre-orders on this record and I don’t want any of you to miss out on the colored vinyl. As soon as I find out the colors, I will update the listings.

This release is also part of our Test Pressing contests. When you purchase a copy of this record, you will be entered to win a copy of the Test Pressing. Winners will be announced when we receive the records.
