I am so excited to announce that we are now carrying the catalog of 702 records/Slovenly Recordings. Both labels are run by Pete the Sticker Guy! 702 Records holds a special place in my heart because they were the label to introduce me to Scared of Chaka, The Gain, and Crushstory. Scared of Chaka used to come through Denver and just destroyed the town. They were one of my absolute faves back in the mid 90’s and I still listen to all of their albums every chance I get. The above pictured album is absolutely essential and I recommend everyone pick up a copy. The singer of Scared of Chaka now plays for the Shins. The Gain were just as rocking and their drummer used to be a child actor who was on Silver Spoons. Crushstory was the band that Zac Damon (former lead singer of Zoinks! and Big in Japan) sang for in between Zoinks and Big in Japan. I loved their self-titled EP.

702 is now Slovenly and they specialize in Lo-Fi 60’s punk and garage rock. Early singles by Black Lips, Reigning Sound, Billy Childish and a whole catalog full of great rock.

Definitely spend some time with the catalog as 702/Slovenly have been putting out great records for almost 15 years.
