Photos of the new Suburban Home/Vinyl Collective office
Posted by virgil under News, Vinyl Collective
I wanted to share you a few snapshots from around the office. We still have a lot of organizing and decorating to do, but I figured this would give you a nice little glimpse into our new digs. We are super excited to be in this space and can’t wait to start showing it off. We are planning a first Friday party in May. You are all invited!

Justin showing how unstoked he is that he has 160 more of the 100 CD sales to package. This sale was the worst/best/worst idea I have ever had.
Many of the CDs being used for the 100 CD sale. Yes, postmaster, we are using these tubs for mail purposes only.
Another endorsement for the Expedit bookshelves at IKEA. We are planning to buy 2 more when we go back to Salt Lake City at the end of April. We also now have a better system for storing our 7″s.
You have to ask yourself, Is This Good for the Company? We loved the movie and the sign so much, we had a graphic designer make one for us and had a friend at Kinko’s print it for us for a copy of Old School on DVD.
The shelves work perfectly for storing shirts, slipmats, and posters.
Above Andy’s computer. I love that poster for the Ya La Tengo album, “I am not afraid of you and I will beat your ass”. I would like to go on record and say that this is the best album title ever.
More posters in Andy’s corner of the office.
Seabron’s purse and posters in her part of the office.
Seabron’s computer. She is working on setting up items for the Second Nature store which we will soon be handling. We will soon be doing all of the fulfillment for Second Nature! I am so stoked.
Yes, we just got a water cooler. Now we have a place to hang out and gossip around. We were so lost those few days we didn’t have the water cooler. Coffee is absolutely essential here, Pablo’s Danger Monkey coffee is a suburban home favorite.
Yes, we keep our fridge stocked with beer 24/7. I am actually enjoying a beer right now. Can you guess which two beers are on the top shelf, here is a hint, the one on the left is made by Odell’s and the one in the middle is made by New Belgium.

I told Seabron I would give a little bit of a back story. She has been short with us all week and every time we give her a hard time, she just snaps at us. We told her that her man needs to give her some serious deep dicking and her demeanor will be much better next week. Cory, if you can please take care of things this weekend, our office will be much appreciative. thanks buddy.
Geoff wins the contest for largest monitor. You can see him acting like he is working on the new Ghost Buffalo t-shirt design.
We still have a lot of decorating to do, but here are a few of my toys, my pachinko machine, and my poster for the classic, Army of Darkness. Above the two Mayor figures is a toy for a Japanese band called Brahman and believe it or not, that is a 7″ behind the toy. The label put out a toy/7″. How cool is that?
My computer set up. I recently switched to the two monitor system and completely love it. You will see that I have a beer and a coffee mug on both sides of my computer. Also, you will see that my screen image is a picture of my son, Logan.
Our Suburban Home banner, made from a different friend at Kinko’s who did it on the sly!
A picture from one corner of the office to show you where everyone works.
A picture of a bunch of CDs on the wall that we pull for mailorder.

Hehe, I will see what I can do after all, “My name is Leon Phelps, and to those of you that are uninitiated, I am an expert in the ways of love. I have made love to many fine ladies from the lowliest bus station skank to the classiest most sophisticated, educated, debutant, high society… bus station skank. ” and Seabron is neither here nor there … so, I will see I can do. . .

is there vodka in the cooler, or is it actually water? every time someone complains about the norma jean box set, everyone should take a shot.

I hope one of those 100 CD boxes were one I ordered!
I’m sure it was a pain in the ass - but thanks for doing that sale - I can’t wait to see what I get!!
