LaGrecia "On Parallels" mp3, track listing, and cover art Announced

LaGrecia “On Parallels”

I hate to be so bold, but I think that LaGrecia’s “On Parallels” could be the greatest piece of work Jason Shevchuk has ever been involved with. That is not to discount anything Kid Dynamite or None More Black ever did as I love both of those bands, it just says how incredible this new album is. Something truly magical happened when Jason, Dana, and Sal got together and the resulting 11 tracks show so much depth and diversity. There will be some surprises on this album for those of you that have been keeping score. Every day I find a new favorite song and it is really exciting to have this kind of album on Suburban Home/Vinyl Collective. I just can’t wait til everyone else can hear these songs and see exactly what I am talking about.

Stay tuned as we will soon be posting a pre-order for the vinyl, the CD, and we will have a few package deals including t-shirts, a limited edition silk-screen, a pint glass, and some one inch buttons. We love the artwork so much we convinced Sal from LaGrecia to design a really cool silk-screened poster. As with some of our previous releases, we will be offering a full download of the entire album long before the album’s release date of June 24th. For now check out the mp3 for “My Lightning“.

Suicide Girl, Sassie, has another photo representing Vinyl Collective

Suicide Girl, Sassie, digs VC and ETID

Another photo was shared with me yesterday and I had to post it. I mean it was rather cool seeing her represent the Vinyl Collective bumper sticker, but take a look at this photo, she has the Every Time I Die box set we released in the background as well as records by Matt Skiba/Kevin Seconds, Alkaline Trio, Poison the Well, Thursday, and a record I can’t identify. Can anyone guess that what record that is?

She also posted on her blog the fact that we posted a photo and she write that she loved Vinyl Collective. How fucking cool is that? Sassie, if you are out there, please email me, it would be cool to run an interview with you on Vinyl Collective about your record collection. Thanks for all the support.

Suicide Girl shows her support for Vinyl Collective

A vinyl collective supporter told me that one of the Suicide Girls had a photo shoot where she was posing with a bunch of records and in one photo, she is sporting one of our Vinyl Collective bumper stickers, “Do it with a Vinyl Collector, They have 12 inches”. Below is a link to the image. I decided not to post the image in this post for fear of you guys who work in more conservative work places.

Regardless of your thoughts on the Suicide Girls’ site, this is pretty cool.

Somehow I forgot to take an individual photo of the white vinyl, but you can see it from the main photo. We just got these records in and your pre-orders will go out today. Don’t forget that your purchase of this album will enter you a chance to win a test pressing or all 4 varieties of this album. Good luck.

Just got in a bunch of stuff from BYO, but there were a number of titles not shipped to us which worries me a bit. I am waiting on a response from the label to see what is up with the NOFX/Rancid, the other color of Anti-Flag/Bouncing Souls, and a few more.

DOWN IN THE DUMPS “Dumps Luck” LP grey vinyl

DOWN IN THE DUMPS “Dumps Luck” LP blue vinyl

Another new release from Kiss of Death and I think it will be up many of your alleys. Kiss of Death compare Down in the Dumps to the good side of Jeff Ott (Crimpshrine, early Fifteen). If gravelly sounding punk rock is your thing, check out “Dumps Luck”.

I might want to add that Kiss of Death puts out really great records and you should definitely consider giving every KOD band a good listen.

Barracuda Sound is a label out of Florida run by one of the cats from Whiskey and Co. The label released the first album by Ninja Gun, one of Suburban Home’s newest acts. We will actually be co-releasing the vinyl for the upcoming Ninja Gun album with Barracuda Sound.

This Grabass Charlestons’ single features 4 tracks including the Guided by Voices cover “Speed Dating”.

Bomb the Music Industry! – Album Minus Band LP blue vinyl

Bomb the Music Industry! – Album Minus Band LP both colors

One of Vinyl Collective’s most beloved bands will soon be releasing another album on wax. These songs represent some of the first tracks written after the end of Arrogant Sons of Bitches before Bomb the Music Industry become Bomb the Music Industry. The 500 pressing is divided into a 150 pressing on yellow and 350 on blue. We are only getting 15 copies on yellow which can be purchased by getting both colors. Good luck getting those. You know the deal with BTMI vinyl, these will go really fast.

SMARTBOMB/ PREVAIL WITHIN split 7" blue/yellow/green splatter vinyl

SMARTBOMB/ PREVAIL WITHIN split 7″ blue/yellow/green splatter vinyl

The label that brought you the heavy duty Smartbomb “Chaos and Lawlessness” 7′ is back with the Smartbomb/Prevail Within split. The wax looks great! 2 songs from each band.

yes, I realize the photo of the record is standing vertical when it should be horizontal. I am still hungover at 5:13 pm and I am calling it a day. I am too old to be drinking as much as I did on a Monday night!

PO/TP: MIKE HALE "Broken With No Hope" LP 2 colors

I just wanted to make a quick post to let you know that we got the green light from Mike Park to post 20 more black vinyl for Mike Hale. Get them while you can. The first 20 sold in one night. Also, mike has agreed to offer up a test pressing for one lucky purchaser of this release. Good luck. We will announce the winner in June when we get the vinyl in.
