Jimmy Kimmel loves Vinyl Collective and Minus the Bear
Posted by virgil under News, Vinyl Collective, What do you think?
Suicide Squeeze had told me last week that Minus the Bear would be playing “Throwing Shapes” on Jimmy Kimmel on the 18th and I had full intention of recording it on my DVR, but I totally spaced it. When Dave at SS asked me if I caught it, I got super bummed…until Seabron told me it was on Youtube. I checked it out and bookending MInus the Bear’s performance is Jimmy Kimmel holding a copy of “Planet of Ice” on vinyl, the record we put out, in his hand. How fucking awesome is that? I could not believe it. This will probably be the only time you read about Jimmy Kimmel and Vinyl Collective in the same sentence, but man is this cool. I would like to think that Jimmy took the liberty of taking the record home, poured himself a nice bourbon on the rocks, turned on the fireplace, got into his lazy boy, and listened to the album from start to finish. Then I like to think that it changes his life and he becomes a dedicated Vinyl Collective supporter even going so far as to create a user id on our message board where he discusses all things vinyl with the rest of our boarders. One can wish, but regardless, we have video evidence that Jimmy Kimmel is down with Vinyl Collective and Minus the Bear!!!
