PO: THURSDAY "Common Existence" LP w/ download coupon

THURSDAY “Common Existence” LP

Thursday are back with their debut for Epitaph, an album I am really excited to hear. Thursday has always represented a wave of bands that were doing something different and interesting and unfortunately have inspired a lot of terrible bands to play music. I really liked their album for Victory and liked their major label records, but I am most interested to hear how this album shapes up. Interestingly this album comes out on their 10th anniversary. It also comes with a download coupon which is great to see Epitaph doing.

Although the CD comes out in February, the street date on the vinyl is March 10th.

PO: THE OFFSPRING "Smash" LP, "Ignition" LP

THE OFFSPRING “Ignition” LP re-mastered

I remember seeing the Offspring on their first tour on Smash and supporting them were Guttermouth and the Grabbers. I remember being so fucking stoked. At the time, I loved Guttermouth and I think I might have picked up “Friendly People” at that show. I was an absolute sucker for “Smash” and later fell in love with Ignition. I can’t say that I have been very fond of the Offspring since these two records, but these two records will forever hold a soft spot in my heart.

From what I have read, both albums have been re-mastered for this new vinyl pressing. If you don’t have the originals and also have a soft spot in your heart for these old records, make sure you pick them up. We should have copies by March 10th.

PO: ASOBI SEKSU "Hush" LP, OWEN "The EP" LP

ASOBI SEKSU “Hush” LP
OWEN “The EP” LP

Two new Polyvinyl titles for pre-order, the latest from Asobi Seksu, and the domestic release of the EP by Owen. Polyvinyl has put themselves as the kings of indie-vinyl with nearly all of their releases seeing light of day on wax. I have heard some of Asobi’s past releases and have liked what I have heard. This Owen EP originally came out on Mi Amante and we sold a bunch of them. If you missed out before, now is your chance.

PO: WILLIAM ELLIOTT WHITMORE "Animals In The Dark" LP

WILLIAM ELLIOTT WHITMORE “Animals In The Dark” LP

The brand new William Elliott Whitmore album will soon be coming out on vinyl, we should have copies by mid February. Although I haven’t listened to this album as much as should, I am thoroughly enjoying the new album. I think that working with Anti is going to help him get the recognition he truly deserves. I am excited to meet and see him on Sunday when he plays with City and Colour (the night after I go see Drag the River at my favorite bar). It should be a rough Monday for sure.

This record definitely has bigger production and it has more songs with a band backing him than I ever recall happening. His voice has never sounded better though. He has one of the greatest voices in Americana and although I have yet to see him, I hear that live there is no denying his abilities. I would really like to see Austin Lucas tour with Will someday. I will be giving him Austin’s album on Sunday so hopefully it might happen.

THE GET UP KIDS "Something To Write Home About" LP opaque lavender vinyl PRE-ORDER

THE GET UP KIDS “Something To Write Home About” LP opaque lavender vinyl PRE-ORDER

Although Doghouse has yet to get back to me about getting more of these, a distributor said they have copies that we can get and put on pre-order. Right now, I only have 50 more, but I think we wil be able to get more if need be. The 100 we had on Friday sold out in an afternoon so act fast.

I love love love this album and am so excited that the Get Up Kids will be playing more shows.

THURSDAY "Waiting" LP colored vinyl PRE-ORDER

THURSDAY “Waiting” LP colored vinyl PRE-ORDER

Our initial pre-order sold out really quickly, but I found out today that I will be getting 100 more copies via a distributor. Only problem is, I am not sure if we will be getting Clear or White. If you really want both colors, I recommend you order 2 copies. But know that this will not guarantee you get both variants. If we do get both versions, we will make sure 1 of each, but we might only get one of the variants.

Eyeball had originally said there would be 500 clear and 500 white being pressed.

I might be getting more My Chem, but I don’t know yet today. And in the next few days, we are gonna post a pre-order for Thursday’s upcoming album, “Common Existence”

TP/PO: THE SWELLERS "My Everest" LP

THE SWELLERS “My Everest” LP set of both colors

Team Science has been working on this release for quite some time, but it sounds like the time put in will be worth it. For those who don’t know, the Swellers are a great punk rock band from Flint, Michigan. They are in the middle of a tour right now with A Wilhelm Scream and Streetlight Manifesto. And they are some really nice guys. They stopped by the office once when I was out of town and all the guys said they were cool.

This is a great punk rock album and knowing that there are lots of you guys into this sound, I highly recommend you check them out.

Should have the vinyl maybe next week and Team Science has been so kind as to give us a test pressing for one lucky person. Good luck.

USELESS I.D. "The Lost Broken Bones" CD Import edition digipak

USELESS I.D. “The Lost Broken Bones” CD Import edition digipak

Useless I.D. released their album themselves in Israel and the CD version is a digipak housed in an o-card with the booklet glued to the front panel of the digipak. They are all hand-numbered out of an edition of 500 copies. I traded copies of the U.S. version for their version and now have 50 copies for sale in our store. If you want a really cool version of this really great album, get one while you still can.
