Because most of these orders for the Thrice boxset were placed last year, the backend for our store archives the information for these older orders and because of this, those customers won’t get a shipping notification with a tracking number. If you need a tracking number for your package, email andy at suburban home records dot com. Shipping labels for all of the Thrice boxsets have been printed. Half of the orders shipped today, the other half will ship tomorrow.

FRANK TURNER “Campfire Punkrock” 10″ yellow vinyl
LOOK MEXICO “This is Animal Music” LP black vinyl

Our Good Friends at Goodfriends recently sent us a few boxes that contained Frank Turner and Look Mexico records. We always seem to run out of copies so I asked for a bunch of them this time around and they delivered. I am not sure how many copies they are sitting on for these releases, but my guess is that they must be close to being out of print. We have sold hundreds of each through VC and I know they sell them on the road and to other distros. Regardless, these are both great records worth owning. In recent news, Frank Turner signed with Epitaph. Congrats buddy. You deserve it. Just glad that Epitaph took a break from their Screamo signing frenzy to work with an amazing artist.

Get these records if you don’t already have them.

We are proud to welcome Wantage USA from Missoula, Montana. this label has brought the world releases by Big Business (the copies we received were damage), Red Fang (their pressing is on red wax and is the original pressing of this LP), Japanther, and more. They put out a wide variety of heavier rock and hopefully they will start seeing more and more recognition. I highly recommend you check out their releases and if nothing else, pick up that Red Fang record, IT FUCKING RULES. SERIOUSLY, WHAT MORE CAN I SAY TO GET YOU TO LISTEN TO THEM?

CALEB LIONHEART “Think Hardcore” LP red w/ streaks vinyl VC exclusive color
CALEB LIONHEART “Think Hardcore” LP seafoam green vinyl VC exclusive color

Farewell Party Records have repressed Caleb Lionheart’s “Think Hardcore” LP and with this 2nd pressing, they have been so kind to give us 2 exclusive versions:

VC Exclusive Color #1 Seafoam Green (Limited to just 28, we will have 24)
VC Exclusive Color #2 Red W Streaks (Limited to just 10 Copies, we will have 6)

That first pressing went really fast, expect this pressing to also.

Got to see William Elliott Whitmore on Sunday night and as always, he was absolutely spectacular. I was nervous about the show as fans kept passing him shot after shot (I think I saw him drink around 10 shots during his set while drinking beers too). I thought he might have gotten Ben Nicholed, but surprisingly he performed amazingly, told great stories (check out the Turkey vs Peacock video), and put on a great show. This set was much more intimate than the last show I saw which was great. I will say that there were some characters there for sure.

On the topic of William, we received the master for his split 7″ (as Wayword Sons) w/ Sam Lowry, and will be sending it off to be pressed shortly. The 7″ is gonna be great. In the meantime, make sure you pick up his new album and his split with Murder by Death. Great stuff.

COCK SPARRER “Here We Stand” LP Claret/Blue “West Ham” vinyl
COCK SPARRER “Here We Stand” LP red/white vinyl

There is no introduction needed for one of the most influential streetpunk / oi! bands of all time: COCK SPARRER. In 2007 Captain Oi! Records released COCK SPARRER’s first album since 1997’s Two Monkeys. Previously only available as an import title, Pirate’s Press brings this sixth studio album to the US with a ton of bonus material with each format but at a domestic price.

LP available in two different color vinyl configurations (Claret/Blue “West Ham” [350 pcs] and Red/White [650 pcs]), housed in an embossed, uncoated sleeve, comes with the CD, and a special notched insert housing the bonus Making Of… DVD

I haven’t listened to Cock Sparrer in years, but I love their back catalog. Stoked to see these in person. We should have copies by next week. Make sure you check out the special edition singles we carry by Cock Sparrer, too.

Every once in a while, Victory goes through their vaults and selects a handful of records fit for release on vinyl. This latest batch finds the label putting out a number of records that people have been asking for like Thursday, Darkest Hour, Streetlight Manifesto, Bayside, and a Day to Remember.

On top of this grand list of vinyl, Victory has been so kind to grant us 2 exclusive colors for Vinyl Collective. The Darkest Hour “Hidden hands of the Sadist Nation” double Lp on dark putty is out of an edition of 300 and Streetlight Manifesto “Everything Goes Numb” LP on white is out of an edition of 500. I have a small favor to ask, if you plan to buy either of these releases, I encourage you to buy our exclusive color so that we don’t end up getting stuck with too many copies. Doing an exclusive color and committing to a lot of copies is a risk on our part, but I feel pretty good about both titles.

I don’t have pressing numbers on the non-exclusive colors, but I was told that some of the following will have exclusive colors with Hot Topic and that most of the releases will be pressed on 2, maybe 3 colors. My guess is that Victory will have a color for their store, and there is a color offered to all retail spots, and then there will be an exclusive either with us or HT. I am sure more of this info will be fleshed out soon enough.

We will have test pressing contests for all of the new releases (only Bad Brains will not be offered) so know that when you purchase any of the following, you will be entered to win a test pressing. Good luck. We should have vinyl in July.

While Seabron was on vacation, we got some releases in from Neutral Territory Records, Adagio, and This That. Releases include records by the Fakeboys/Frogball, Last Lights/Bad Habit, Ghost Limb, Fire Team Charlies, The Lion of Wallstreet, and lots more. Truth is I am not familiar with a lot of these artists, but that is what makes doing VC interesting. Please leave a comment about any of the bands listed below that you think I should listen to and maybe say this band sounds like ____________.

And a note to all small indie labels out there. We want to carry your vinyl. Just email seabron at suburban home records dot com and she will send you all the info.
