Our friend Justin from Underground Communique has been quiet as of late, but today, we received the thumb’s up to post the Methadone’s upcoming 7″, the Methadones / Copyrights split LP, and the Explod and Make Up LP. Here’s a little more about each release:
METHADONES 7″ – Brand new 2 song 7″(only the bands second 7″ ever) from the Methadones from Chicago. This single includes a new song called “Exit 17″ and a re-recorded and superior full band version of the song “I believe” that originally appeared as an acoustic version on their last full length “This Won’t Hurt” on Red Scare. Both songs and this 7″ were written and are dedicated to Dan’s fiancee Alisha. Test Pressing contest for those of you who order this record.

METHADONES/COPYRIGHTS SPLIT LP – Brand new split LP from the Methadones and the Copyrights! This release was previously self released by Dan from the Methadones and Adam from the Copyrights record label Transparent Records on CD only, this LP, co-released by Underground Communique and It’s Alive Records has 6 songs each from two of today’s greatest bands together on one record. That makes for a dozen reasons why this is one of the best splits ever! The Methadones and The Copyrights do Illinois proud on this collaboration – it’s north meets south with awesome results. Test Pressing contest for those of you who order this record.

EXPLODE AND MAKE UP LP – Debut EP from Chicago’s Explode and Make Up(the band features: Denis from 88 Fingers Louie, Jeff Dean from the Bomb/Four Star Alarm/Tomorrow’s Gone, Pete from the Methadones/the Bomb & Mike Pinaud from Tomorrow’s Gone) This EP has 6 songs of melodic hardcore ala Dag Nasty that fans of anything from Husker Du to Verse or Betrayed could appreciate.
This band formed a few years ago, played a few shows, stopped playing because literally everyone got married, life happened, other bands were busy, now they’re back. This EP was half recorded 2+ years ago, half a few months ago. All re-mixed by Tom Petta from Big Wig & Detournement.
