SH/VC WAREHOUSE CLEARANCE SALE (Get 20 LPs plus 50 CDs for $100)

SH/VC WAREHOUSE CLEARANCE SALE (20 Points,50 Free CDs,Free T-shirt)
SH/VC WAREHOUSE CLEARANCE SALE (10 Points,25 Free CDs)
SH/VC WAREHOUSE CLEARANCE SALE (5 Points,10 Free CDs)

We are in the final stages of getting out of our distribution deal with Koch and will soon be working with Super D for much of our brick and mortar distribution. Because our deal with Koch is nearly over, we will soon be getting all of our product back and we don’t know where we are going to put all the stock. Our warehouse is already full, we also have a full storage space, and Koch tells us that we will soon be getting 6 pallets of CDs and Vinyl back. We need your help to help us find homes for all this music.

I have come up with a sale so crazy, you would have to be insane not to take advantage of it. Inspired by my decision to offer low prices for our records at the Fest Flea Market, you too will be able to pick up most of our catalog at prices you won’t be able to find anywhere else.

Just like our Fest prices, you will be able to get our releases for the following prices

LPs and CDs – $5.00 each
dbl LP – $10 each
7″s and Shotgunators – 2 for $5

But wait, there’s more (read that in an Infomercial voice). Because we are trying to clear out our warehouse, every order will come with FREE CDs and other goodies and some orders will get FREE t-shirts. We really need to clear out room in our Warehouse and Storage space as we cannot afford to get another storage space and we don’t want to destroy any of the overstock CDs.

Here is how it works:

For the purpose of this sale, we are going to use a point system. I hope this isn’t too confusing. LPs and CDs are 1 point each, dbl LPs are 2 points, 7″s and Shotgunators are each half a point. There will be 3 different deals:

$100 (you get 20 points worth of records of your choice, 50 Free CDs of our choice, and while supplies last, a T-shirt (specify your shirt size))
$50 (you get 10 points worth of records of your choice, and 25 Free CDs of our choice)
$25 (you get 5 points worth of records of your choice, and 10 Free CDs of our Choice)

The CDs of our choice will be CDs from past Suburban Home artists, past Suburban Home distributed labels and will run the spectrum of Punk, Pop-Punk, Hardcore/Metal, Ska, and Indie Rock.

Here is how you take advantage of the deal:
1. Purchase and complete checkout for one of the sales.
2. Copy and Paste into an email the releases you want. Do your best to get to 20, 10, or 5 points depending on the sale you purchased. Email your list and your shirt size if getting 20 points to : info@suburbanhomerecords.com – Please use the Subject VC Warehouse Clearance Sale
3. We will do the rest and before you know it, you will have a huge box delivered to your house.
Please note that you do not get to pick the color of the vinyl and in most cases, you will get the more frequent color if there are more than one color of a release.

Because some of the titles on the list are being shipped from Koch to our warehouse, we will ship your order when everything is in stock. US customers, media mail is not an option for the $100 sale and the $50 sale as we want to be able to insure the package. We will use UPS which will cost $10 for all you can buy.

Suburban Home/Vinyl Collective at the Fest 8 (bands,flea market,shortstaffed)

It is only a few days til the Fest in Gainesville begins and I wanted to alert you to what all Suburban Home and Vinyl Collective have going on this year. We have a number of bands playing, we will have a bunch of records for sale (at insane prices), and because of the Fest, we in Denver are going to be super short-handed. I personally am not going which is a bummer, but when I went last year, I missed taking my son out for Halloween. My son only being 3 and super stoked on Halloween (he’s gonna be Spiderman), there is no way I could miss taking him out trick or treating. 3 Suburban Home/Vinyl Collective staff will be there (Andy, Justin, and Casey who are all in Only Thunder and are playing the Fest this year). They will be manning the Suburban Home/Vinyl Collective Flea Market table which will also be showcasing the Fest guitar that Justin built. They will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win the guitar and the proceeds from that raffle will go to benefit Harvest of Hope. Make sure you say hi to the guys and make sure you go see them play. They play that Friday night, October 30th, at the Venue Side Stage at 8:30 pm.

WE ARE SHORT-STAFFED THIS WEEK, PLEASE UNDERSTAND
Since Andy who processes mailorder and Justin and Casey who handle mailorder are on tour to the Fest, we are seriously short-staffed. My buddy Zach and I are gonna put in some late night hours before the Lucero show and everyone else in the office will be pulling double duty to get as many of the pre-orders out as quickly as possible. I ask that you please bare with us this week as we are short-handed and have to put together and ship out copies of Portugal the Man “It’s Complicated Being a Wizard”, Tim Barry/Frank Turner, the 3 new Under the Influence 7″s, Chad Price “Smile Sweet Face”, and Cobra Skulls “American Rubicon” (yes, we got in American Rubicon). We also just got in the O Pioneers “This is How I Feel” and the Jon Cougar Concentration Camp “My Hair Hurts” and some other records. We will do our very best to get these records out, but please be patient with us. We are kind of freaking out.

VINYL COLLECTIVE/SUBURBAN HOME FLEA MARKET TABLE
The guys will only be setting up on Friday during registration which will go from noon to 5pm. I didn’t send too many records with the guys (at most there are 5 to 10 copies of certain titles). Because we are crazy, the prices of our records will be the following:

LPs and CDs – $5.00 each
dbl LP – $10 each
7″s and Shotgunators – 2 for $5

Get their early if you are interested in picking anything up, I imagine most of our newer titles will sell out pretty quickly. Those of you not attending this year’s Fest, know that we are about to announce a sale with similar prices to make room in our warehouse. Be sure to say hi to Andy, Justin, and Casey, they are all good folks.

PO: TRAKTOR "Lights" LP, THE MONACO HEARTATTACK "S/T" 7"

TRAKTOR “Lights” LP

The soundtrack for the wedding party of anger & gloom. Traktor from Sweden, which are not only highly considered in circles of connoisseurs because of their extraordinary live qualities, perfect their grim chaos-core on their first full length, entitled Lights. The typical Traktor sound from the early days with indigestive breaks and dissonant guitar riffs in the vein of famous San Diego bands like Drive Like Jehu or Swing Kids is getting enobled with dark & calm passages. Although the album was mastered in the much sought-after Tonteknik-Studio in Umeå, the regulary comparisons to Refused or early JR Ewing are less present, then genre bulks like Lack or Breach. Lights is an album designed for a cheerless winter, post-hardcore between aggression & depression.

THE MONACO HEARTATTACK “S/T” 7″

Violently 5-track debut of the malaysian screamo-violence outfit The Monaco Heartattack in a nice handmade packaging (handscreened covers in 3 different variants). 5 times vocal folds all the way in & fierce guitar broadsides, which belong to early 90′s. In the vein of Usurp Synapse, Orchid, Saetia, United Nations.

PO: HOW DARE YOU/ JUST PANIC split 7"

HOW DARE YOU/ JUST PANIC split 7″

The 2nd in a series of 6 split 7″s being released. Each 7″ has one British band and one non-UK band, comes on colour vinyl, with screen-printed covers and has 4 or more songs…

review of the How Dare You tracks – “Now, the Orlando, FL band doesn’t do anything you haven’t heard before, but they do it with so much conviction and heart that you can’t help but want to pump your fist, bob your head, or just crank up your car stereo really really loud. The songs are melodic, the vocals are raw and biting, and the choruses are of the huge sing-a-long variety.”

Just Panic are one of the best live UK bands – lots of energy and intensity. They follow up their excellent “Stand Up Straight…” EP with 2 more impressive songs. A sound which comes across as a combination of a variety of late 90′s bands – put Against Me and The Bouncing Souls in a blender, add a British sound and I guess this is what you get.

We will have 7″s when Only Thunder return from the Fest as the label will be hand-delivering 7″s to our table at the Fest.

PO: LIKE BATS "S/T" CD

LIKE BATS “S/T” CD

“The debut record from one of the best young bands in the country. Gritty midwestern pop punk for fans of Alkaline Trio and The Lawrence Arms.”
