Black Numbers is pleased to announce that it will release “You Didn’t Know I was Alphabetical”, the latest full length from New Brunswick NJ native and ex-Outsmarting Simon front man PJ Bond.
Besides Outsmarting Simon (Triple Crown), PJ’s career has the run the gamut of of roles, stages, and scenes. From basements with Marigold (Textbook Music) to playing clubs with ex-Taking Back Sunday’s Fred Masherino’s project The Color Fred (Equal Vision) and every date of Warped Tour with Charlotte Sometimes (Geffen), PJ has seen it all and is certainly wiser for the wear. In comparison to previous endeavors, Alphabetical is a decidedly more organic, homespun affiar-a heartfelt slice of creaky, back porch Americana tossed against a perfectly catchy pop backdrop. Still, the record has a little bit of everything, from rustic, uptempo alt-country rockers to haunting, melancholy acoustic offerings and sweetly infectious indie numbers for fans of Rocky Votolato, Neutral Milk Hotel, Whikeytown, and Elliott Smith.
Expect a full album stream on Vinyl Collective soon.
