If you visit AOL’s Spinner this week, you can listen to the entire full album stream of Tim Barry’s latest, “28th & Stonewall”. This full album stream is kind of a landmark event for our little label as the media conglomerate has never taken an interest in any of our previous releases. Please take a moment, visit the site, and give the album a spin. We’d love to hear what you think. I personally think that “28th & Stonewall” is becoming my favorite of Tim Barry’s recordings.
“28th & Stonewall” is officially in stores tomorrow, Tuesday, January 26th, 2010. If you have pre-ordered the CD from us, we are already shipping the CD orders. If you pre-ordered the vinyl or deluxe set, we will send you a link to download the entire album tonight and plan to start shipping pre-orders on either Friday, January 29th or early next week. Both the colored vinyl and the deluxe sets are close to selling out so get one soon if you are considering picking up either. If you haven’t pre-ordered the album from us, we encourage you to pick it up from wherever you purchase records. Most independent retailers should have it tomorrow, as should most digital retailers, and starting next week. Hot Topic/Shockhound should have it in stock.
Aversion.com just posted a review of “28th & Stonewall”. You can see the review here. The album received 4 out of 5 stars, here’s an excerpt: “It may be a little lonely when you’re as staunchly independent as Barry. Then again, he doesn’t have to answer to a boss, a manipulative girlfriend, a credit-card company or to a job that’ll serve him a pink slip to save management’s year-end bonus. Welcome to the new America, the new freedom. Tim Barry’s playing your song.” – Matt Schild
