We posted earlier this week that the Gaslight Anthem had hand-selected Tim Barry to support their first U.S. tour in support of “American Slang” as well as their album release show. The Gaslight Anthem just announced having Chamberlain on their tour with Tim Barry and The Rival Schools on the bill for their album Release show.

It was recently announced that Bad Astronaut were doing a short, California tour.  We are excited to announce that Joey Cape and Mike Hale will be supporting these shows. I can hardly believe it that Bad Astronaut are playing shows, and am so stoked that Joey and Mike will also be playing. What I would do to go see these shows.

While this is not an official statement, do not be surprised to see a Bad Astronaut album on vinyl. Expect details soon!

AUSTIN LUCAS “Collection” CD (with free beer coozie and button)

The Pre-order for the CD is up now at Interpunk; We are waiting til we approve test pressings on the vinyl to post the pre-order on the vinyl. While supplies last, there will be a coozie and a button that will accompany the pre-order.

Shortly after recording a split album, “Bristle Ridge”, with Chuck Ragan, Austin Lucas set out to start recording demos for what would eventually become “Somebody Loves You”. The demos were pretty raw, but there was a magic to the recordings so it was decided that Austin would enlist German label, Hometown Caravan, to do a small pressing on 10 inch of these songs. That release, “At War With Freak Folk” sold out quickly and could be the most highly sought after piece in most people’s Austin Lucas collections. As Austin starts recording demos for his followup to “Somebody Loves You”, we discussed putting together a Collection of recordings that originally appeared on vinyl only releases. “Collection” begins with those 6 songs from “At War with Freak Folk”, includes Austin’s tracks from his split 7″ with The Takers, Austin’s cover of Dolly Parton from his Under the Influence split 7″ with Frank Turner, a track from his split 7″ with Chuck Ragan, and a track that has been unreleased until now. Until Austin completes his next masterpiece, allow “Collection” to offer you another dimension to Austin Lucas.

“Collection” will be released on CD, vinyl, and digitally. The first pressing of “Collection” will be on pink vinyl out of an edition of 500 copies w/ a digital download card. There will also be a European Pressing of “Collection” between Hometown Caravan and Combat Rock. We will announce our Pre-order on Collection after test pressings have been approved.

We just got these in and they look and sound fantastic. If you haven’t picked up a copy, I highly recommend you do so. We only have a handful of copies left in our store which you can find here. You can also get these from interpunk at this link. Pressing info on the first pressing is 500 on blue, 500 on black. Once this pressing sells out and we do a repress, the future pressings will be on black vinyl. These will begin shipping today.

The same day that we posted another incredible pre-order with a new album by the Gaslight Anthem, we got news that Suburban Home Recording act, Tim Barry, will be supporting the Gaslight Anthem’s first tour in support of their new album, “American Slang”. Tim Barry will continue supporting his latest album, “28th & Stonewall” and as a small label, I could not be more excited about Tim supporting this tour. Seeing Tim in Denver at the Ogden Theater in front of a packed house, man, that is going to be amazing. Thanks Gaslight Anthem for again selecting one of our artists to support one of your tours. You guys are the best!

Those wondering about the vinyl pre-orders for American Slang, we are officially sold out of our exclusive color (actually sold out in a little over an hour). Word on the street is that No Idea and Side One are sold out of their exclusive colors as well. I know that Banquet were temporarily selling the Euro version of the album but took the item down in the event they oversold their copies while not able to monitor sales. They will have their copies up again in the morning. Other European retailers should have the Green 180 gram vinyl for sale though so check Green Hell and others. Those of you not concerned about color and just want to hear the record on vinyl, we have copies available still on 180 gram black vinyl.

You should know the deal by now. We have an exclusive color of the new Gaslight Anthem album, “American Slang”. It is out of a pressing of 500 copies on Half Black/Half Green w/ White Splatter. We are also selling copies of the 180 Gram black vinyl. Both Side One Dummy and No Idea will have their own exclusive colors (for sale today). There is also a European version for sale but not sure where it will be available from. For those of you trying to get each variant, good luck.

We please ask that you don’t purchase more than 2 copies. If you do, we will more than likely cancel and refund any additional copies if you purchase more than 2 copies. We expect this pre-order to sell out really, really quickly, and we just want as many people to be able to get a copy of what we think is an incredible album.
