Vinyl Collector of the Month – Andy R.

How many Records Do you Own?
At this moment I have 481 however, I’m waiting on about 12 – 15 Pre Orders.

What was the first record you bought and how did you get involved in collecting records?
I purchased 3 records at my first visit to Two Tone in ‘96 (which unfortunately is no longer in business).  They were Choking Victim – Squatta’s Paradise 7″, NOFX  –  HOFX 12” which was a rainbow colored vinyl and Infest – Slave 12”.  Back in 1995/1996 I was mainly into thrash, crust punk and hardcore. Most of the bands I loved, such as Doom, Nausea, Code 13, Charles Bronson and Destroy to name a few, only released their albums on vinyl.  I had no other choice but to purchase a record player. Plus it was hard not to buy vinyl living within driving distance of 3 amazing records shops (Vintage Vinyl, Curmudgeon Records and Two Tone).
