Silverstein “Rescue” Vinyl LP – It’s hard not to listen to Silverstein’s latest, Rescue, and think that the post-hardcore/screamo sound created in 2000 hasn’t evolved a whole bunch, other than to note the band has gotten incredibly more polished over the years. And that’s not necessarily a rip at the band. For those who loved the years when bands like Story of the Year absolutely reigned in the marketplace, Silverstein is sticking to its guns on Rescue and doing it as well as or better as anyone has. On July 19th, 2011 Rhino Records are reissuing the first four Ramone’s albums – The Ramones (1976), Leave Home (1977), Rocket to Russia (1977), and Road to Ruin (1978) – on 180 gram vinyl! It is reported that the lacquers were cut from the original 1/4″ analog Dolby stereo masters. Pre orders are up now!

Ruiner covers the Oasis track, “Morning Glory” while Attica Attica covers Propaghandi’s, “The State Lottery”. The 7″ is due out July 5th. No Trigger is back, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who experiences joy seeing those words written. While getting caught up in what more or less amounted to the demise of Nitro Records along with a couple other bands, Massachusetts’ No Trigger showed signs of standing out from the pack of melodic punk/hardcore released around that time with the full length Canyoneer.
