I’m very excited about getting Micah’s debut album released on vinyl. I feel so honored to be able to have had the opportunity to release the album and am glad that we put it out on wax. If you pre-ordered the vinyl and/or the deluxe sets, they will ship this week (we are planning a Cinco De Mayo mailorder party to get all these records packed). I promise not to consume any Tequila (I actually retired the vile liquor on March 5th, 2005 and have not turned back). Instead, we will be drinking beer while packing records. Negro Modelo might be in order.

If you missed out on buying the vinyl from us, our partners at Interpunk are now carrying the album on vinyl. You can find it on LP and CD here . Expect No Idea, Mom and Pop Record Stores, and others to have it in stock soon.

Expect a photo soon of the deluxe set items.

We just received our shipment of The Swellers “My Everest”. While receipt of a box of records is nothing noteworthy, somehow Team Science were able to ship the box to us and get Delivery Confirmation without paying for postage. When I inspected the box, I thought to myself that only Aaron Sainze (Team Science Mastermind) could Jedi Mind trick the postal service into sending a box for free. “Ship the Box, You Will”.

While I am pretty sure nearly all of the copies we received are on blue vinyl, we did receive at least one on the mix/black/grey you see above. Expect these to ship this week. I still have 3 copies left after receiving the box of records. If anyone wants to pick one up, just email me.

We just got these in and they look and sound fantastic. If you haven’t picked up a copy, I highly recommend you do so. We only have a handful of copies left in our store which you can find here. You can also get these from interpunk at this link. Pressing info on the first pressing is 500 on blue, 500 on black. Once this pressing sells out and we do a repress, the future pressings will be on black vinyl. These will begin shipping today.

You have to laugh when the simple version of a release is a pressing on 200 gram colored vinyl in a full color inner sleeve. While I do agree that the fancy version is indeed fancy, the simple version looks and sounds fantastic. Let’s start with the photos of the fancy version: Gatefold jacket with glued 10 page booklet, a fold out poster of a fantastic photo of the entire band, a sticker, a feather, and a pressing on 200 gram blue vinyl. I almost forgot to add that the LP jacket is embossed. Yes, the record was expensive, but I could not even begin to imagine the cost of this pressing. The simple version is in a standard LP jacket, has a full color inner sleeve, and the vinyl is pressed on 200 gram orange vinyl.

The fancy version is sold out through Vinyl Collective, but we still have copies of the Simple version. If you pre-ordered the fancy version, your copies have already been shipped. The simple version will begin shipping tomorrow.

Kudos to Murder by Death for always paying close attention to every detail with their vinyl releases. Not sure if everyone knows, but Murder by Death self-releases all of their vinyl.

What’s everyone think of the album so far? I have only listened to it a few times, but I am really digging what I hear.

These showed up yesterday and will start shipping tomorrow. If you missed out on getting a copy, i am very sorry. We only ended up getting 32 copies to sale and I had to keep one (I kept #188 out of 500). The 7″s are super D.I.Y. with silk-screened labels and dust sleeves. The songs are fantastic.

Food for thought: I am trying to convince Hugo from Yesterday’s Ring to repress this record in a regular 7″ sleeve. It would be great as it is quite the injustice that this record was only pressed in an edition of 500 copies and is pretty much already out of print. Stay tuned.

It’s really amazing how well all the vinyl matches the artwork for the record. We will be able to see the records first had today when Simple Psyence hand-delivers the records to us. Spoke to them last night and they were in New Mexico. Should see them around noon today. We still have copies of our exclusive color, but they are going quickly. We still have a handful of the 180 gram black vinyl, but we are now out of green. The pink vinyl will only be available at Hot Topic. We will be sending them copies to arrive by April 16th and they will need their time to get them into their stores. Only 500 pressed of each color and they will go out of print.

Rocky Votolato True Devotion LP

While it is a little difficult to tell which color is which, the booklet that accompanies the vinyl is really, really cool. It is a 8 page booklet with lyrics and images. Very nice.

We have a few left of each color so if you haven’t pre-ordered it yet, do so now.

I like this new album a lot; my favorite of his since “Makers”. How about you?

Jawbreaker Unfun Lp

We just got these in and I am about to put my copy on the record player. I am so excited. We have copies on clear vinyl. Word on the street is that Hot Topic has an exclusive color (can’t remember what color that is though).

We have a few more copies of this album in our store. Get one while you can.

Copies will begin to ship out tomorrow. Not sure if you saw, but we got hit with a pretty gnarly snow storm that killed our power til just now. We also ordered copies of the CD, but for some reason didn’t get any. I should have the cds by early next week.

Yesterday's Ring Chasers

Yesterday's Ring Chasers Test Pressing

Sister Kisser

We got in the Yesterday’s Ring “Chasers” vinyl which should begin shipping today. We are sold out but might be able to get a few more on black. We also just got in the Sister Kisser / Ink and Lead split (VC Exclusive) which will be posted shortly.

Today, we will also start shipping the Look Mexico Suburban Home Records mix tape, the Smoke or Fire 7″, the Look Mexico “To Bed to Battle” CD and the Micah Schnabel “When the Stage Light Goes Dim” CD.

Over the next week we will be getting in the new Jawbreaker pressing of Unfun, the new Pelican double LP on red vinyl, the Alexisonfire double LP, and more.

Well, it took about 20 years to get this repress out, but it is finally out. If you pre-ordered a copy, your copy was sent out today. You will receive a copy numbered between 1 and 100 out of 300. Austin Lucas will have copies at SXSW but not at the Nine Bullets party. His copies are 101 to 200. The last 100 will be sent to various distributors and Elmer at Hometown will end up with some, too.

The jackets were printed by Dustin Garret and they turned out amazing. The vinyl is black unlike the photo suggests. The lighting makes the vinyl look almost orange-ish brown.

If you want one of the 1 through 100 copies, we have a few left in the store.
