Visitor to VC: Kepi Ghoulie

Kepi Ghoulie (12-5-08) – Most people know Kepi because of he fronted the legendary pop-punk band, the Groovie Ghoulies. Since the Ghoulies stopped playing, Kepi has been pretty focused on his solo career. He has put out a few records on Asian Man as well as a handful of singles. Besides being a talented songwriter, he is also one hell of an artist. It just so happened that while Kepi was out on tour, his date for Denver happened to fall on our “We Put the F Back Into Art” First Friday Party where we have artists showing their wares and usually feature a musical guest. Not sure how well you can see from the photo, but Kepi is rocking in front of some of his art which was all really killer. I actually purchased the Dragon with the orange backdrop. Kepi and Dino not only rocked those in attendance, but Kepi’s banter in between songs was right on. We posted 4 videos from the night on our Youtube Channel. Kepi is one of the nicest folks I have met. He called me a few days later thanking me for having him play.
